MSD Students Embark on Annual Missouri River Days Adventure! For the third consecutive year, a group of enthusiastic MSD students participated in an educational field trip to the Missouri River, organized by the Missouri River Relief program. This highly anticipated event has become a beloved tradition for MSD elementary students, and it's easy to see why! Through a series of engaging and interactive activities, students embarked on an immersive exploration of the local ecosystem on a guided nature walk, where they discovered the fascinating world of plants and animals that call the riverbank home. They also had the unique opportunity to learn about the river's incredibly diverse aquatic life from the experts at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, who shared their vast knowledge and insights about the importance of conservation and preservation. In addition to these hands-on learning experiences, students also got to express their creativity by creating a watercolor masterpiece inspired by the breathtaking scenic surroundings, which made for a wonderful keepsake from their adventure. And, of course, no trip to the Missouri River would be complete without a thrilling boat ride on the river itself! This exciting event allowed students to develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world, while also fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among their peers. It's an experience that will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come!
