Wheeler Hall was erected in 1957 and named in honor of Hubert Wheeler, the Commissioner of Education. Mr. Wheeler was Missouri’s first state commissioner and served from 1947-1971. It was originally intended for high school students (9th – 12th grade) but over the years, this also included middle school students (6th – 8th grade) on multiple occasions. Currently the first floor is the middle school and the second floor is the high school.
