Article on the Hickory Ridge Orchard elementary field trip with photos of students and staff enjoying the farm.

Stark Elementary took advantage of the crisp, sunny fall day and experienced the wonders of Hickory Ridge Orchard in Mexico, MO. The students had an absolute blast feeding the friendly fish and playful goats, and getting up close and personal with the majestic turkeys, gentle sheep, curious pigs, and gentle cows. They also got to visit with the adorable rabbits, dogs, cats, and chickens. But that was just the beginning! The students also had the opportunity to pick their own pumpkins and apples right from the orchard, and enjoyed a refreshing taste of fresh apple juice straight from the press. And, of course, no trip would be complete without a few minutes of playtime on the huge jump pillow and corn trailer - the laughter and smiles were contagious! The staff and students alike enjoyed every single moment of this fantastic field trip and left not only with huge smiles on their faces but also with some tasty reminders of their fun-filled day, including a few fresh apples and pumpkins to take home and share with their families.
