Manufacturing Day
Manufacturing Day, March 13, 2025, provided an invaluable opportunity for our junior and senior students to gain real-world insights into industry practices. Partnering with the Callaway Chamber of Commerce allowed them to visit the Dollar General Distribution Center, Danuser Machine Company, and Avail Switchgear Systems, where they observed the processing and distribution of products on a large scale. The tours provided a firsthand look at the equipment and manufacturing processes, as well as the innovative technologies utilized by these companies. Of particular interest was the visit to Avail Switchgear Systems, where students were able to witness the production of electrical components and gain a comprehensive understanding of the switchgear creation process. The experience was both informative and inspiring, providing our students with valuable knowledge and insight into the world of manufacturing. By seeing these processes in action, students were able to connect their classroom learning with practical applications, further enhancing their understanding of the industry. Overall, Manufacturing Day was a worthwhile and enriching experience for our students.
