The annual holiday tradition at Stark Hall for the past two years has been to spend time with First Lady
Theresa Parsons, Santa Claus, and Mrs. Claus. This year's event held a bittersweet tone as the Parsons ended their time as Governor and First Lady. However, the memories created during the visit to the Maus House, located at the edge of the governor's gardens, will last a lifetime. The house was decorated to resemble a gingerbread house, much to the delight of the students. First Lady Parsons read The Mitten by Jan Brett, and Mrs. Claus read The Berenstain Bears' Night Before Christmas by Mike Berenstain. Students had the opportunity to make an ornament and enjoy cookies provided by the Moving Missouri Forward Foundation. As a special treat, each student was able to take a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus and share their Christmas wishes. Although this year's event marked the end of the Parson's time as Governor and First Lady, the memories created during the holiday gathering are sure to be cherished for years to come.
