The Music in Motion (MIM) performing arts group at the Missouri School for the Deaf will share their version of Alice in Wonderland by performing Alice Cogswell in Wonderland on May 6, 2017. The purpose of this educational performance is to celebrate music, Deaf culture, and 200 years of American Sign Language (ASL). This year the MIM performance is dedicated to Alice Cogswell and the 200th anniversary of ASL. Alice Cogswell was the first student at American School for the Deaf, which is the first deaf school in America. There are two scheduled performances on Saturday: 2:00 and 6:00 p.m., and the performance is expected to last 1 hour and 15 minutes. Admission is free and open to the public.
