Missouri School for the Deaf celebrated the bravery and selflessness of our nation's heroes with a heartfelt Veterans Day assembly that will be remembered for years to come! Sergeant First Class Vertis Lee inspired us with his remarkable stories of service, sharing with us the sacrifices he made and the lessons he learned during his time in the military. His words of wisdom and courage left a lasting impact on our students, teachers, and staff. MSD Student Council's Flag Folding Ceremony was a poignant reminder of the significance of the American flag and the freedoms it represents. The precise and deliberate movements of the students as they folded the flag was a powerful tribute to our nation's veterans. And Music in Motions' soul-stirring performances of the National Anthem and God Bless America left us in awe, their signs in perfect harmony to create a sense of patriotism and gratitude. The energy in the room was electric, and we were all moved to as we applauded the performers. To all our courageous veterans, we salute you for your unwavering dedication to our freedom! We are grateful for your service, your sacrifice, and your selflessness. We honor you today and every day for all that you have done for our country.
