Stark Students get swept away to Oz! Over the last month, they've been on an unforgettable journey of discovery with the incredible Mrs. Howerton and Mrs. Mengwasser, learning to sequence with confidence, embracing the power of positivity, expanding their vocabulary, and developing the skills to navigate life's twists and turns with ease.
They've delved into the magical world of Oz, exploring the wonders of language, and uncovering the secrets of self-expression. Yesterday, as they prepared to return to ‘Kansas’, students and staff joined forces to celebrate their triumphs with a vibrant party that was truly fit for a wizard! Everyone embodied their favorite character by designing unique masks, crafted whirlwind tornadoes in a bottle, and conquered an obstacle course that would put even the most seasoned adventurer to the test.
The masks were a true testament to their creativity, with some students opting for the iconic ruby red slippers, while others chose the wise and powerful face of Glinda the Good Witch. And to cap it all off, each student received a special gift from the Wizard, representing the wisdom, compassion, courage, and joy they've discovered within themselves!
